We’re Sarah and Michael! We’re parents, travelers, and now travel bloggers! But mostly, we’re just a family figuring out how to make travel with kids a little less overwhelming and a lot more fun.
Earlier this year, we planned our first big Disney trip with our toddler. It was magical… but it was also a lot. Packing lists, nap schedules, overstimulation — you name it. On the way home, we realized we wished there were more real family travel stories out there about family travel. Not just tips and tricks, but honest recaps from parents who’ve actually done it: the wins, the meltdowns, and the moments that made it all worth it.
That’s why we started Family Trip Playbook. This blog is all about highlighting real family travel experiences: the chaos, the joy, and everything in between. Our goal is to help make your own trips feel more doable and less overwhelming.
On the blog, you’ll find:
- Honest stories from families planning and recapping their trips
- Destinations from theme parks to beach towns, camping trips to international adventures
- Honest lessons learned, tips that actually work, and elatable moments from real parents
We’ll also share our own travel adventures, because we’re in it too!
And here’s the best part: we want your stories, too. If you’ve got a family trip coming up — or one you just returned from — we’d love to feature it. Email us at familytripplaybook@gmail.com with your trip details and you might see your story on the blog.
At the end of the day, this blog isn’t about having perfect vacations. It’s about making memories, one trip (and tantrum) at a time.
Come along with us, share your stories, and let’s make family travel a little more real, a little more fun, and a whole lot more doable.
